In the late 1970's Pioneer was making a few really great decks for their 'Spec Series' array of audio components. With that, Pioneer pulled out all the stops with respect to components used including robust motors, quality parts and really good heads.

Now almost 30 years later these machines still sound fantastic. With the 701 it is a single direction, dual speed player with basic, but really good features. Make no mistake, the 701 is a rock solid player with 7" reel capacity and playback that can rival some higher end CD players.

Our vintage 701 has been completely serviced, calibrated and biased to insure that it is in perfect working condition before going on our sales floor. In addition, it is backed by our full 30 day warranty.
