Yeah, I know, this is one of those 'must have' kind of toys…

Have you ever had a piece of audio gear that you had to play with more than listen too?

With so many cool things to toggle, switch, watch and adjust, the Sansui SE-9 fits that bill perfectly. With a FULLY MOTORIZED mechanism that goes through - step by step - each band and adjusts to your specific setting can make even a grown man giddy with excitement. The full spectrum display almost seems moot after watching the sliders 'magically' move to specific settings.

Ok, all fun aside how does it sound? Well, in a word, it's an equalizer. Take away all the moving wiz-nots and funky light showy thingies and it is still an equalizer. With 8 bands per side, starting with 80Hz and moving up the scale to 10 kHz, this unit does a pretty good job adding that 'extra bit of tone' to any room. It just does it with funky light displays and those uber-cool magical sliders!

The slider knobs themselves show very slight wear but overall, this item looks great!

We serviced the entire motor assembly to ensure that the buyer can spend countless hours watching the 'slider show'.

On a more serious side, the SE-9 is one of the more collectable Sansui pieces and does not show up that often (at least, not in working condition). Finding one in silver is also odd as the black units seem to be more common.
