January 2011 Well, here we are in a brand new year! We truly hope that everyone had a wonderful season and that your resolutions last for at least a week... So, time to calibrate the old rumor mill… First, getting the store ready for our February 1st opening is right on schedule. This was and still is a HUGE project. With the sheer amount of stuff to be moved, built, rigged and painted it seemed at times that perhaps we took on a bit too much but, the sales floors will be ready. Yes, that includes BOTH floors of goodies! As stated before, we will have a massive amount of our parts available for sale on our lower floor along with our entire supply of turntable headshells, cartridges, hinges and other accessories. Upstairs will be our full retail contingency including the record room and the "speaker wall". Ok, so we know that we are on the right track but now comes the hard part - store hours. This was one area that we have fought long and hard over but we think we may have found a solution. First, Saturdays will be back. Yup, we will be open Saturdays again as this was one day that people found to be very convenient to their schedules. In addition, we will be open later on Saturdays to allow more time for people to come by. Saturday hours will now be from 10am - 5pm. Of course, this will start in February. Which leaves us with the rest of the week. At this point we are leaning towards going back to our previous hours / days which was Tuesday through Friday, 9am to 5pm. This seemed to work really well with our customers. It had been suggested that we stay open longer on Thursday and Fridays (possibly until 8pm) but again, this we still need to work out. Alright, so now that's that. Next thing - store policies. As of January 3rd, 2011 we changed our store return policy. What this means is that we can no longer offer refunds when returning an item. Unfortunately we have found that there have been too many times over the past years where this has been a very sticky issue and although we have tried to keep this going, we realized that it had to change. So, from this day forward, all sales will now be final sale with returns accepted for exchange or store credit only and within 14 days of purchase with original receipt. Our standard 30 day warranty still applies to ALL of our products. So, I guess that's it until we nail down the final details.
