April 26, 2012: I received the Marantz 140 today and am happy
to say it arrived safe and sound. I spent a good part of the evening
with it hooked up to the preamp side of my Harman Kardon integrated
amp powering up my '77 vintage Pioneer HPM 150's and will head off
to the rack with a big smile on my face. The amp not only sounds great,
but is a very fine looking unit as well. I am a very happy camper
indeed. Can't wait to hook it up to the Marantz 1152DC that I recently
acquired. Kudo's to you and your staff for the excellent customer
service and your obvious passion for the vintage gear. We will definitely
be doing more business in the future and if anyone asks me where to
acquire or service equipment like this, rest assured that your business

received the tuner yesterday late afternoon! Thanks for the pro-packaging, it
was absolutely perfect. I hooked it up right away, as you can expect! Everything
worked fine, but the sound was a little bit on the bright side! It's been "on"
since and the sound has eased a lot during the night. Now it is smooth and detailed!
It is a hell of a good tuner, very surprising for a Sanyo! I am very satisfied

amp & tuner today. They are wonderful. They are in my bedroom, hooked up to a
Sony ps-1 for a cd player, a fully restored Dual 1216 with Shure M91ED, playing

repair of my MiniVox amplification system. (July 8/11). In addition to the e-mail
I sent to the manager of Long and McQuade yesterday (with a cc to your office),
thanking him for recommending your store, I also sent in your address and recommended
your company to one of the people (Steve) at the company that manufactures Anchor
Audio equipment, in California. When I originally phoned they could not recommend
a repair place in western Canada, only Ontario. Steve e-mailed me back today and
thanked me for the reference for western Canada. Thanks again for your excellent

The Nine Plus" amplifier today and wanted you to know how pleased I am. I swapped
it into my main system (replacing a Classe CA101) and all I can say is wow. I
never would have thought that 65 watts of class A power would best the more powerful
Classe, but it did. Thanks for the great amplifier and I really appreciate you

couple of weeks ago I googled, "electronic repairs Surrey", & Innovative Audio
was one of the top recommendations. I knew the result I wanted in an entertainment
system, but was intimidated by all the technical stuff to get there. Gord did
an analysis of our system, suggested what was worth keeping, & gave us a great
deal on a previously loved/used Pioneer receiver. However what was most appreciated
was the generosity of Gord's spirit. He's always available to make sure everything
is satisfactory, & is patient without being patronizing, when explaining the technicalities.

16, 2010: Big bald Paul here. Gord I hooked up that beast Luxman FQ-990 and
couldn't believe my ears. I do not know if it is the additional watts or quality.
I really liked the sound from SX-737 but the Lux has jumped to hyperspace so to

is just a quick email to let you guys and others know of the type of service I've
received from Innovative Audio. I live in Northern BC in a town of about 500 people
and 15 minutes from our major center, 9800 people. We don't have any dedicated
audio stores or even knowledgeable retail people to draw opinions or information
from. After spending about an hour on the phone with Gordon asking at least 100
questions I felt I could trust him. (I have been taken advantage of by an online
retailer, I am cautious) Days later I was the proud owner of a used Mitsubishi
amp/pre-amp combo. The price was reasonable (I'm of Scots heritage and pennies
don't easily slip from my fingers), the shipping and packing was excellent and
any concerns I had were answered. For a mid seventies audio component the visual
appearance was almost a 10 out of 10. There were no pictures of the unit I had
relied on Gordons description, which was a little understated in my opinion :).
From this transaction I would highly recommend Innovative Audio for people looking
for older gear that is in great shape and for reasonable prices. The biggest plus
for me was, the time I was given for questions and concerns. Thanks again Gordon
and Susan, I'll be passing on my great retail experience and your website to my

from Belgium. The amplifier arrived a week ago in excellent order after a brief
hold up at customs, and I finally was able to hook it up today. Magnificent! It
is indeed one of the best sounding amps I have ever heard, and a wonderful unit
to look at on top of that. Currently I am using it as a 2 channel amplifier as
the space it currently sits in isn't too suitable for a 4 speaker setup, but boy,
this sound really fills up the room! Beautiful, beautiful. I am quite the happy
camper! :-) Thanks again for doing all the necessary, dealing with the postage,

Tim H. September 29, 2009: Dear Gord and Susan, The Musical Design
Amp and Audio Research Preamp arrived home safe and sound. Thank-you for all your
wonderful work. First impressions with AR SP14 and VT50 were a little disappointing,
so I tried the AR SP14 and Musical Design and things opened up a bit however soundstage
was shallow and timing seemed to be all muddled. Before I went to bed I decided
to let the Musical Design and SP14 cook overnight. The next morning I awoke and
what a transformation!!! Magic!! Everything snapped back into place, soundstage
opened up and timing improved dramatically. I am very happy!! In comparison of
the Musical Design to the Audio Research VT50 they are very similar, however have
different strengths. On snappy Contemporary Music like Dire Straits and Sade the
MD reacts like a 5 litre Mustang very powerful quick and robust which is exactly
what is needed. With Classical and Jazz like Small Orchestral and Diana Krall
the Vt50 reacts like a V12 Jaguar quietly powerful and ultra smooth which is what
is needed. The tubes edge out the transistors in the area of soundstage depth
and natural voice reproduction. The transistors seem to edge out the tubes in
soundstage width and leading edge of bass notes. The Sp14 as it is opening up
complements both amps exquisitely!! Thank-you again for all your superb work!!

April 27, 2009: Hi Susan, I received your equipment today. It will
be Wednesday evening before I have a chance to connect everything up. I will let
you how it sounds and if it all works. These units are replacing a receiver that
failed after nearly 30 years of service. At the time I wanted a higher end receiver
but bought a lower end unit putting my money into speakers. This equipment is
what I wanted then. I am still thinking about a CA 2010 or 1010, but I am sure
I will enjoy this. Please let me know if you get a CA 2010, 1010, CT 7000 or 1010
in. I will think about upgrading if I have the opportunity from a reliable source.
Others think I should be looking at newer equipment but I would be spending 10
times this amount or more and I don't think I would hear the difference. I will
let other know about your great service. Word of mouth is the best advertisement.

me when I purchased the Kenwood DP-M993 multi disc player form you. In my conversations
with the both of you, you were very warm and friendly and absolutely fantastic
answering all my questions.. The cd player is WONDERFUL. I couldn't be more pleased
with it.. It basically looks like it is brand new but more importantly it PLAYS
like it is new. I was also very happy with how well it was packed for shipping
since it had a trip of around 3000 miles. It was difficult to find this model
since it is one of the few that are compatible with the rest of the Kenwood system
I have. I will not hesitate to purchase from you again. You made me feel like
one of your own and your merchandise is Great!!! Thanks Again Jim - Charlotte
