Where does the time go?  We hear it often as we reflect on what has occurred in our lives this year.  For some it seems to crawl along and for others it feels like a whirlwind, but what we all know is time marches on and with it comes highs and lows.  We all need to take just a little bit of a break in this crazy season, breathe and know that all those that we’ve met on our journey have had some kind of impact on our lives, be it something big or small like a smile or handshake, a big hug when you needed it or even just someone who’s taken the time to listen or has taken you out to have a great experience.  It’s that time of the year when embracing family and friends both near and far feels right.  For most of us it’s a time of reflection as has always been the case at Innovative Audio.  Why break with traditions?

Some of you who have been into the shop over the past couple of months have seen some changes – we have downsized and are currently occupying only one warehouse space, not two.  There were a couple of reasons for this and mostly it was because of the cost of rent.  We didn’t want to close or move from our location as it’s pretty central in the Lower Mainland, but we had so much stuff just occupying space, so once we cleaned up and out, reorganized and re-distributed everything, it all FIT!!  What a workout to get it all done in a month – many long nights and many helping hands helped to get it done.  So though we aren’t in the corner street-front unit, we are just one more bay over.  So if you see our new tenants in the corner store with their new signage, don’t fret, just walk a few more paces and you’ll see us right where we’ve always been.

All the same equipment you’ve come to expect is in our front store area when you walk in – along with our pickup/dropoff area for repairs, our repair center is bustling away in the back half of the warehouse and not to worry, a larger display of records and CD’s along with our turntables we have for sale is upstairs.  Coming soon will be a ‘higher-end’ display of equipment that we will be able to demo, but more on that when it’s ready.

So everyone who was here before is still here and will be able to look after your needs, except for Susan who will be stepping back and working from behind the scenes for the time being – I think she deserves a huge thank you for all she’s done for the store for over 20 years but I know she’s looking forward to retirement and to some travelling and volunteering.  If you see her in the next couple of weeks, be sure to say your goodbyes and wish her well.

As 2025 comes in an end, we look forward to being of service to all our customers, both near and far, in 2026.  We will strive to continue to provide first class customer service and will always look to you for ways to improve upon that.  We appreciate each and every one of you!
