Mark is going to open THE RECORD ROOM ONLY for your buying and listening pleasure on the following days:

Repair Rates / Deposits Updated

Effective September 1, 2020 we will be increasing our shop repair rates to $105.00/hr

Estimate deposits for stereo equipment and speakers is $50.00 per item. Deposits for tape decks remains at $75.00 & tube equipment stays at $100.00.

Shop supplies are being raised to $8.50 due to increased costs associates with cleaners, solder, lubricants, etc that are beyond our control.

Our last service price increase was in 2015. We appreciate your continued support and look forward to being your number one source for all vintage purchases & repairs.


POP-UP MINI GARAGE SALE – Saturday July 25 – @ the Store

What would summer be without a Garage Sale????

Yup, after sorting, cleaning and feeling the need to NOT let our customers down we decided to have a garage sale on July 25th, 2020.  WEATHER PERMITTING, of course!

Now, before you start getting all excited there are quite a few things you need to know first;

Due to everything going on, it will only be our shop having items for sale. We thought about having other vendors but too many factors prevented this from going forward. Yes, I know it sucks but its short notice and and at least its something, right?

ALL PEOPLE ATTENDING ARE REQUIRED TO WEAR MASKS!  No, not halloween types so let’s show respect to others by doing our part. It should go without saying that if you are exhibiting symptoms of cold, flu or just not feeling well, PLEASE STAY HOME.

ALSO if you venture into the store, please use the hand sanitizer.  Inside our store we need to keep clean, so we ask that you help us out and sanitize before wandering through.

Since this will be on a Saturday, a day we are normally open, the number of people allowed within the store will be limited, so please be patient and understand.

Our first garage sale was in 2008, and we have had one every year with each bigger and better than the last. As much as we wanted to do something spectacular this year, world events have changed those plans dramatically.

So, why not still do something but scale it down so people can still have fun, find some great bargains, and dig through piles of awesome audio stuff?

Yeah, I thought so to which is why we felt its needed.

So mark your calendars for 10am July 25th, bring a pocket of cash and come on down!

NO EARLY BIRDS! It’s not fair to others and we will be enforcing this.

Because this is short notice, there will be no food truck or other types of refreshments available – sorry.




It’s so good to see you again, even from 2 meters away. We’re okay with that and hope that you find your experience worth the trip.

OBVIOUSLY some things have changed, so here’s everything you need to know to keep our staff and you, our customer, safe and to help with your shopping experience:

  • STORE HOURS:  Tuesday to Saturday:  10:00 am to 5:00 pm
  • Anyone that is sick or exhibits any cold or flu-like symptoms will be asked to stay home or to leave the store – we’re not kidding around with this one!
  • All customers that enter the record room or showroom must use our hand sanitizer before proceeding further. No exceptions!
  • Wearing of masks is encouraged but not mandatory at this time
  • Except in special circumstances, we ask that only one family member be in the store at a time. Please leave your children at home.
  • Please remember social distancing and to keep a minimum of 2 meters (6 feet) between yourself and others.
  • We will be limiting the number of people in the store; try to respect the time you spend with us so others that are waiting can enter.
  • If you would rather not shop in person, we will be doing curbside pickup/drop-offs
  • Washrooms are for staff use only. The common bathroom is closed at this time. Sorry for the inconvenience

So let’s breakdown each section of the store so it’s easier to understand how each department is going to be running.


  • We are accepting repairs but there is still a backlog and wait times will be 4-5 weeks.
  • Only two people can be waiting in the front entrance area to keep a 2-meter distance. If you open the door to find there are already two people inside, you can put your equipment on the bench just inside the door and wait outside for your turn.  When one person leaves you can enter. If there is space in the record room or showroom you can wait there. We’ll help you with determining that too, but please respect that we may have to ask you to wait outside.
  • Consider phoning us prior to coming in and we can do up the necessary paperwork/payment over the phone and all you have to do is drop off your equipment (or call us from your car and we can come out and pick it up for you), gather your receipt/paperwork and leave immediately.


We have moved the record room just inside the entrance way straight in front of you as you enter the shop.

  • We are limiting 4 people in this area and once again please self-distance.
  • Please be considerate of others if there is a lineup of people wanting to go into the record room. Make your purchases as quickly as possible and move out so others can shop. We are not going to put a time limit on your stay unless it becomes necessary. Knowing what you want to purchase in advance would be helpful.


We are excited to have a completely updated and expanded showroom – all on one floor now! No longer do you have to go upstairs to see everything.

  • WE HAVE A MAXIMUM CAPACITY OF 4 PEOPLE IN THE SHOWROOM at this time. As more staff returns to work, the capacity will increase as well. If it is at capacity, you’ll have to wait outside until a spot is available.
  • PLEASE NO TOUCHING OF EQUIPMENT while you browse. Wait for a staff member to assist you.
  • Your other option is to make an appointment to be guaranteed a salesperson. We ask you to call ahead to select a time to view products you are interested in buying. As well, please have an idea of what you want to see because others could be waiting for their booked appointment after you.

PLEASE UNDERSTAND that if you show up hoping to be able to come in and wander around by yourself, you could be disappointed if we are at capacity. As some people will be making an appointment and you come in without one, you could be asked to wait for the next available opening slot. Please avoid this by calling ahead to see if there is an opening.

TURNTABLE INSTALLATIONS: belts, cartridges, styluses, etc.

Please call before showing up with your turntable or your cartridge replacement. We will be very busy helping people who had an appointment and walk-ins will be handled as we have the space and time. We don’t want you to be disappointed, so please call ahead to ensure we have the staff to help you. You may have a wait inside (or outside depending on if we are at capacity) and we want to minimize that inconvenience.


BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. Please call us or email us with the items you are wanting us to consider purchasing. Provide us with make, model and price you’d like to get. We will first let you know if we are interested in buying them and if we are, contacting you to make an appointment for you to bring them in so that we can have the time to test, evaluate and if we need more time, giving you the appropriate paperwork so you can leave and we can contact you to discuss further.

TO FINISH UP, we believe that you will have a similar experience with us as you did before COVID-19, but we also know that we have to work together respectfully and in a comfortable shopping environment. That takes a bit of effort on everyone’s part. We want to be here for the long haul and are glad to get back to business serving our community. If you have any concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to us so that we can help as best as we can.



UPDATE:  May 27, 2020

We know it’s been awhile since you heard from us, but we haven’t forgotten about you. All your emails and phone calls keep us going.

We are getting ready to reopen next week with a brand new update including a showroom makeover and expanded record room. We are rolling it out as quickly as we can. Some things might not be quite completed, but we’re going to make it as great an experience as we can, just like we always have.

We will get an update on the website as soon as we can – confirmed opening date and new store hours (I already know it’s Tuesday to Saturday – 10:00 am to 5:00 pm). We’ll have our new COVID-19 protocol – we want everyone to continue to be safe (our province rocks!) and we’re going to do our part as well. There may be some waiting times if we meet capacity, but we’ll try to make it easy and quick for everyone.

We just wanted to let you know construction is taking a bit longer than we had hoped, but I think once you see it, you’ll say it was worth the wait.

We look forward to seeing our customers, both old and new again – behind masks and without the handshakes! Take care until the big reveal.

UPDATE:  April 6, 2020

As we are still closed as a storefront, but our online sales are available so that you can purchase items you view on our website. We will answer your email or phone inquiries and make arrangements for you to purchase in-store by appointment, or have an item shipped to your location.

We hope that everyone is enjoying some music and should you need anything further, please do not hesitate to reach out to us and we will be in touch as soon as we can. We are checking phone messages and emails on a daily basis.

We are currently not taking in repairs, nor do we advise shipping anything to us, as the store is closed and no one can accept your parcel. We will be the first to let you know when our repair department is operational once again.

Please stay safe and do your part to reduce the spread of this virus by social distancing and listening to our Health Authorities so we can all recover from this sooner, rather than later. We’ve got this!

As the situation with COVID-19 continues to evolve day-to-day in Canada, the primary focus of Innovative Audio is to protect the health and safety of our co-workers, customers and their families. We are closely monitoring this ever changing situation and are basing our actions and decisions on recommendations from the Public Health Agency of Canada and relevant local authorities.

At this time, we have taken the following preventative measures EFFECTIVE MARCH 18, 2020:

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding and thank you for your continued support, while we navigate these unprecedented times and do our part to lessen the spread of the COVID-19 virus.

Based on these actions and the guidance shared by the Public Health Agency of Canada, we feel confident in what we hope is a short term shut-down of our business. As this is an evolving situation, we are closely monitoring any changes to this assessment and will share any updates on our website and social media. We will continue to base our actions on recommendations from both the Provincial and Federal authorities, always with the health and safety of our co-workers, customers and communities as our utmost priority.


Christmas Holiday Hours

Every year we close our shop during the holidays to allow our staff and family some ‘down time’ to really enjoy the season. As a family based shop, we do not believe in grasping every last dollar with mad sales and shopping blitzes like the ‘big box’ stores do, but feel that Christmas is a season best spent with family and friends, some good food and music, and to enjoy the things that make our lives special.

With that, I want to take the time to thank all of our great customers for a truly awesome year.  Some of the many changes and additions we have implemented over the past year are due only because of the loyalty and support of our clientele.  Also, I personally want to tip my hat to those that make this place run as well as it does because of their dedication to doing the best they can.

Innovative Audio Xmas Animal Drive

Over the past few years, Innovative Audio has been proud to support the outstanding efforts of the Delta Community Animal Shelter by donating 5% of our total audio sales during the month of December. This year, our record department has also decided to hop on board and they will also be donating 5% of total record sales! We are hoping to top last year’s donation contribution and with your help we know we can!

In addition, we want to continue hosting our 2nd annual ‘Animal Drive’ as it was a huge success and DCAS was blown away by the contributions brought in. In essence what we are asking for is to look around your homes for good clean towels, blankets, sheets, hand towels or anything else related and drop them off at our shop so we can pass it along to the DCAS. These items can be new or used, as long as they are clean. We are also looking for food, toys, used cat trees or anything else to make these animals comfortable.

For your efforts, items brought in that support this cause will be put into a draw for a $250.00 Gift Certificate to be used in our store. Just fill out the ballot with your name and phone number when you drop off your donation and we’ll draw a winning entry on December 21st – our last day open for 2019. Even if you do not or cannot provide items listed above, a monetary contribution that you choose to put into the fund will also make you eligible for the Gift Certificate.

If you are looking to open your doors this year for an addition to your family, adopting one of these incredible furry, lovable critters would be awesome. DCAS has been tirelessly providing care, love and attention to animals and we wholeheartedly support their efforts.

This year, lets spread the love of music to support the ones that need love the most, the animals.
