It’s that time of the year when our lives turn to embracing family and friends both near and far.  For most of us it’s a time of reflection as it has always been the case at Innovative Audio.  Why break with traditions?

It never gets old when we reflect back on where we started and where we are today.  We are all enjoying the adventure of seeing old customers come back into the store, helping new customers start on a new journey into the vintage stereo equipment world, but most of all we continue to bring old equipment back to life where it’s possibly spent many years buried in the back of a closet.  Hearing about where this 50-year old amplifier came from – maybe from a grandparent, or from buying it with the money you made in your first job, or a friend give it to you hoping you’ll do something with it – these stories never grow old and we are so grateful that you made the decision to hold on to that piece and now be able to repair it to continue to enjoy those moments in your life once again where music made you happy.

It’s true that many of us hear a song and a memory comes flooding back, or hear a new tune that our kids said we’d never like, or heaven forbid you all of a sudden hear a new artist that is from a genre of music we absolutely said we hated…. and it takes on a new meaning when we take the time to really listen to the lyrics or tune.  I know I’ve done it and I’m sure we all have and so our journey in the music realm evolves and continually changes.  Of course there are our favorites that no matter what anyone says, you’ll continue to enjoy them, playing that LP over and over again until someone says enough is enough – please play something else!  But you don’t because of how it makes you feel.  This is what music has done for us and will continue to do so throughout the good and bad days of our lives.

As 2024 comes in an end, we look forward to being of service to all customers, both near and far, in 2025.  We will strive to continue to provide first class customer service and will always look to you for ways to improve upon that.  We appreciate each and every one of you!

SO WHAT IS 20/20/20?

We are celebrating our 20^th Anniversary since starting our humble business way back in 2004.

Most people may not realize that the Innovative Audio you see today actually began in a shed in the back yard of our house! It was in 2005 that we managed to get the courage to run a full-fledged store located in Delta BC. Since then, we have done OVER 20,000 repairs on both electronics and speakers! That’s an amazing thousand plus repairs a year!

To celebrate this incredible milestone, we have sifted through numerous suggestions and emails and picked the one that was best for our customers.

Starting August 6^th, Innovative Audio will be open 7 days a week! Yup, you read that right. With the exception of statutory holidays we will have our doors open every day. This will come with some challenges, but our clients are worth it. Starting Tuesday, August 6^th, 2024 our store hours will be: Monday to Friday 10am – 5pm, Saturday & Sunday 10am – 4pm.

Since sales are those things that stores do to promote great things, why not follow suit? From August 6^th to the 30^th we will be taking 20 percent off selected items in our store – including some consignments (just ask if you see something not marked).  They will be marked on our website as well.

And yes –  OUR RECORDS WILL BE 20% OFF TOO!

In addition, we will also be having “flash sales” of products at insanely low prices that will only be advertised on our Facebook page and Instagram. These items will be on our sales floor on a ‘first come / first serve’ basis and you MUST be in the store to purchase – no holds will be permitted.

Sunday, December 24 through until reopening day Tuesday, January 2nd.  We will not be returning phone calls or emails during this time.

It’s become an annual tradition for us to reflect back on the year and then write a bit about it.  So why change with traditions…. right?

It’s been a fairly steady growth at the store and with the addition of new employees we are enjoying more time with our customers, educating them when they ask for it, helping them find new music additions to add to their collection and just an opportunity to discuss their options to enjoy vintage stereo equipment.

It never gets old when we reflect on where we started and where we are today.  The world around us keeps changing and moving forward, but we are still stuck back in the 70’s and you are coming along with us too!  Our niche market has grown and more and more people, both young and old alike, are hearing music like they haven’t in a very long time or perhaps for the very first time.
